My stay at Louisville Marriott Downtown had its ups and downs. The hotel is beautifully renovated and well-located near the convention center, which I appreciated. However, I encountered slow and inconsistent service at times, particularly with the check-in process. Additionally, I experienced maintenance issues with the water temperature in the shower and noise disturbances from construction.

The spacious hospitality suite I was upgraded to was fantastic, featuring a king room, living area, and kitchenette. Unfortunately, some outlets near the bed were not functional, leaving me with a nearly dead phone upon waking.
Service

While some staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful, others seemed uninformed or indifferent, particularly during check-in. It took too long to resolve simple issues, such as getting help with the room changes I needed.

The staff was friendly and attentive throughout my stay. However, I did find the check-in process a bit odd, as I had to hand over my car key fob just for a quick check-in. There were a few missteps with my reservation that required me to remind the staff about my Marriott status.
